A parcel box doesn't replace the drop-off compartment required by postal standards; it complements it. The ideal solution is a unified set, featuring a letter compartment, a drop-off compartment, and a parcel locker, all in the same finish and installed as a single unit. We custom-make these sets in stainless steel, RAL 7016 anthracite, or powder-coated aluminum, to perfectly match your facade.
If you already have a compliant and recent mailbox, we can simply add a matching parcel module. In all cases, the installation respects the legal placement: at the property line, with the slot facing the street, freely accessible to the delivery person.
Parcel lockers for apartment buildings
In apartment buildings, the need is even greater: tenants receive dozens of parcels per week, often left in the lobby or returned to the post office. A shared parcel locker, integrated into the mailbox bank, changes everything. The delivery person deposits into a free compartment, and the tenant retrieves it with their key or code. Fewer missed delivery slips, fewer lost parcels, and added value for the building.
We custom-design these lockers to integrate seamlessly into your lobby or facade, complementing the compliant mailboxes (one per dwelling, as required by the Postal Ordinance, Art. 73). FAQ
Does a parcel box replace the mandatory drop-off compartment?
No. Postal standards require a drop-off compartment ("milk box") of at least 15 × 25 × 35.5 cm for small items. The parcel box is a complement, not a substitute: it receives larger packages that the slot and drop-off cannot accommodate. (Source: La Poste brochure 221.04 and OPO.)
Can I add it to my existing mailbox?
Yes, in most cases. We manufacture a parcel module that matches your current mailbox and install it next to or below it. For a cleaner result, many clients opt for a new, integrated set including letter, drop-off, and parcel compartments.
How does the delivery person deposit without a key?
The parcel compartment has a one-way deposit system or a latch to re-close: the delivery person opens, deposits, closes, and only the recipient retrieves with their key or code. All carriers can use it.
Is it relevant for an apartment building?
